I am, and probably always will be, a skeptic. My wife is always raving about some new natural health craze and how delicious all the bizarre organic foods she buys taste and, for the most part, I don’t believe her. But when she bought this tea I decided to humor her and give it a shot, and—wow!

It doesn’t really taste like most teas you’ve probably had at restaurants or brewed from a bag, it’s actually got this really malty, almost dark chocolaty taste that reminds me more of most coffees than it does tea. But with less caffeine? (Posted on 9/23/2015)

I’ve only ever had the “typical” black teas (like Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Darjeeling, Assam…etc etc) so I was totally unprepared for how different this one tasted. Wow! I don’t think I can ever go back! It’s got such a rich and full-bodied profile.

I swear it tastes like dark chocolate, but my husband insists it tastes “smoky” and malty. If any of that sounds up your alley, you’ll definitely love this one! As great as the tea tastes, I’m actually most impressed by the price. With all the hype over organic health foods and teas, it’s hard to find any for a reasonable price anymore, but AiryTea has cornered the market on affordable and delicious beverages! Before buying this tea, I thought all black teas tasted the same—boy, I was wrong! This had such a complex and interesting flavor profile compared to the others I’ve tasted. It wasn’t at all citrusy or bitter. It has a mellow, almost chocolaty taste with malt and light floral notes. Not what I was expecting, but so good! The color is beautiful too, it’s kind of a coppery red color. I used this tea to make a latte and it became my new favorite morning beverage. As far as ordering goes, it came right on time and there were no problems with my order at all. Can’t recommend this highly enough! (Posted on 8/22/2015)

This was such a lovely tea. It was lighter than I was expecting, as all the black teas I have had before were typically darker/stronger and more bitter in comparison. That having been said, I really loved this one and I now keep a jar of it on hand as my morning breakfast tea. The first time I bought non-organic, but I would recommend buying the certified organic variety—it’s a personal preference, but I personally love knowing that what I’m drinking is as good for me as it tastes!
