Iam an avid tea drinker who prides herself on collecting everything from oolong to assam to matcha to sencha—but I had NEVER heard of drinking chrysanthemums as tea before! Naturally, I had to give it a try. AiryTea does it beautifully.

It’s got an (obviously) floral body and notes I would almost describe as citrusy to balance it out a bit. Turns out, chrysanthemums aren’t just good-looking, they taste great too! I love how the flowers “bloom” when you steep the tea. Just more reasons to love it. (Posted on 9/23/2015)

A friend bought this for me recently as a little bit of a joke. I love gardening, and chrysanthemums are my favorite flower (I’m a bit obsessed, to be honest)—but I had never heard of drinking them as a tea! Neither had she, of course, so when she bought this as a gag gift she was surprised that I actually ended up finishing the box inside of a week! It’s a lovely refreshing tea with a pretty strong floral taste, but my favorite part is actually brewing the tea itself. The dried chrysanthemum buds “bloom” when you put them in the hot water, so you end up with a drink that’s pretty and delicious! Two for one! (Posted on 8/18/2015)
